X Factor’s Janet Devlin Related to Kurt Cobain

Who’d have thought it. X Factor’s Irish runner up Janet Devlin is allegedly related to Kurt Cobain!

Courtney Love has claim that “In all this money shit” she has had to find out who all of the Cobains are. And Janet is one of them! Love claims that she is the cousin of one of Cobain’s ancestor’s, and therefore one of Kurt and Frances’s cousins.

Ginger Janet, however, claims to know of no links to the Nirvana legend, saying: “I’m not aware of any family connection but it’s pretty cool if that is the case.”

It seems pretty unlikely, and we all know how Courtney ‘Loves’ a publicity stunt. Ironically, X Factor winners Little Mix’s Christmas single, a cover of Damien Rice’s “Cannonball,” is going head to head against Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” for the Christmas #1 spot.

Either way, we’re sure Kurt would be turning in his grave if he knew one of his supposed relatives had entered the cringe-worthy competition.
