Y Not Festival 2016

Set in the glorious countryside of the Peak District, Y Not Festival 2016 offers more than just a stellar line-up. Forget the morning commute for a weekend and wake up to stunning views. Forget lukewarm lager, the festival even offers local ales and ciders. The line-up is still pretty top notch though; the likes of Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds grab the attention but this is a deep, rewarding selection.

Festival favourites such as The Hives and Everything Everything will entertain while Blossoms, Lucy Spraggan and Kagoule are ones to watch. If beats rather than bands are your thing then The Neon Coconut is the place to be with headline sets from Craig Charles’ Funk & Soul Club, Mike Skinner and DJ Yoda.

As a boutique festival they have opened it up to families while there are also VIP upgrades if you wanted to live the dream with actual flushing toilets and showers. Then there is the fancy dress, which this year is 80s themed, so expect moustaches, leggings and glowsticks. Even Mr Motivator is making an appearance. Y Not indeed.
