Your Ticket To Australia With A Working Holiday Visa
If you are between the ages of 18 and 31, and do not have a dependent child with you during your stay, the Working Holiday visa may be the perfect way for you to travel and work in Australia for up to a year.
If you have a partner, they can accompany you to Australia. However, they will need to apply for their own visa.
If you are hoping to stay longer, you can always apply for a Second Working Holiday visa. Do keep in mind this will take at least 88 days of regional work in order to be approved. If it does get approved, you will be able to extend your stay for another year. You will need proof of meeting all the working requirements for the first visa.
Only certain countries have an agreement with Australia to provide the Working Holiday visa. However, for those who may have a passport from a non-participating country, you can always see if you can apply for the Work and Holiday Visa, which similarly will allow you to work and travel in Australia for up to one year.

There are certain specified work in approved industries for the Working Holiday visa. These include: plant and animal cultivation, fishing and pearling, tree farming and felling, mining, and construction. This means that supporting work, such as book-keeping, in any of the above industries do not count as the requirement of specified work.
To find specified work, you can look for vacancies through employment pages, the Internet, and job placement service providers.
