5 acts to see at this years Kappa Futur Festival.

With Kappa FuturFestival right around the corner, the electronic dance music universe is rampant with anticipation. Descending on Turin for two days of explicitly potent dance music are the majority of the world’s House and Techno titans; ready to leave their stamp on Italy’s biggest festival event of the year.

We thought it would be the perfect time to give you our top 5 acts to see at Kappa FuturFestival, it wasn’t easy with such a ridiculous lineup on offer but we just about managed to narrow it down to five (somehow, and in no specific order):

• Adam Beyer

The Drumcode boss is always a firm favourite amongst many, he is known for delivering standout performances that live long in the memory so expect plenty more of the same. Expect unforgiving kicks and adulterated basslines throughout, don’t say we didn’t warn you!

• Joseph Capriati

Born and raised in the south of Italy himself, Capriati’s famously audacious sets are always on the level of ultimately crowd-pleasing. His performance at Kappa in 2017 was one of epic proportions to say the least, Joseph knows how to work a crowd and play it like an instrument and no doubt will be up to his usual tricks this year.

• Derrick May

One of Techno’s finest ambassadors hailing from motor city itself, Derrick has long been revered as a member of the inner circle of electronic dance music. He has also become somewhat of a poster boy for the festival, with footage of his energetic performance in 2017 going viral almost instantly.

• Jamie Jones

The cool kid that everybody would really love to be, it’s more than just image or reputation for JJ, though. He has been showing a remarkable level of divergence in his sets recently, this has been attracting a lot of attention along with plenty of respect too. A creative mind with a staunch knowledge library and fearlessly diverse… what more could you ask for?

• Robert Hood

Monobox, The Vision, Inner Sanctum, Floorplan; whatever you know him as, one thing is for sure… Robert Hood is one of the pillars of Techno. Another Detroit legend (and long time friend of Jeff Mills) that seems to only grace the finest of lineups, so you know if he’s here to play then you’re in for a real treat!
