Some of the most gorgeous diving spots in the world can be found around Fiji’s 300-plus
islands so if you’re not too shit scared of what lies beneath, strap on a tank and get down
there.

Unlike the putrid waters of good old Blighty, the South Pacific seas are, by and large,
lovely and clear and also contain thousands of colorful and incredible-looking species.
If you haven’t dived before, most places have fully PADI instructors to teach you the
ropes and give you the chance to check out dolphins, manta rays, reef sharks and a
a multitude of coral life.

Shipwrecks, caves and grottos also combine to wrap up a truly exhilarating underwater
experience.  Don’t just take it from us.

dive sites and sheer diversity of life of Fijian reefs is overwhelming.”
One decent dive site is Pacific Harbour, which is about a 30-minute drive from Suva.
Others include the Great Astrolabe Reef on Kaduna, the Somosomo straits between
Vanua Leva and Taveuni, the Mamanucas and Plantation, Musket Cove and Castaway,
near Nadi.
