Arctic Monkeys announce Pond as Aus & New Zealand Support Act
Arctic Monkey have revealed Pyschedelic Rock band, Pond, from Perth as their support slot for their Australia and New Zealand dates.
The group which has been going since 2008, consisting of certain members of Tame Impala, are adding to their growing reputation as a fantastic live act in Australia.
Following their own successful Australian tour last year, after the release of their fifth album Hobo Rocket, Pond are set to shake up Aus once again.
With nominations as Rock Act of The Year, Group of The Year and Album of The Year in 2013’s WAM Awards, the Aussie Rock group are to demonstrate their own credibility, alongside UK greats Arctic Monkeys. Pond’s rock elements shall fit soundly before the likes of Arctic Monkeys rocky Why Do You Only Call Me When You’re High, adding a touch of new age psychedellia.
