Artist Profile: Jamie Jones

After wowing crowds with a headlining performance on the Digital stage at Amsterdam’s DGTL festival last weekend, Jamie Jones continues to set the bar higher for DJs trailing behind in his shadow.

Hailing from Wales, the man of many talents perseveres his way through the increasing mountain of emerging DJs and represents the UK Dance scene with a skill set that’s almost impossible to rival. More than just a disc jockey, Jamie also lends his hand to producing, hosting Paradise parties at Ibiza’s hot club DC10 and additionally is the fifth slice to Electro cross-genre group Hot Natured. Jones and musical-partner-in-crime Lee Foss also co-founded the innovative Electro Dance record label Hot Creations, releasing tracks from DJs such as Infinity Ink, Miguel Campbell and Patrick Topping.

Following a 2011 poll in magazine Resident Advisor declaring him as the world’s most foremost DJ, Mr. Jones received his big break in 2012 when Hot Natured’s single ‘Benediction’ peaked at #40 on the UK singles chart. Since then, Jamie has been hailed as the face of change, creating an iconic sound that shatters boundaries and paves the way for a far warmer, melodic side to Techno.

After groundbreaking Ibiza favourite ‘Hungry For The Power’, a remix originally created by Azari & Ill, saw Jamie gather more attention back in 2012, the superstar DJ has since been high in demand, touring the globe and gracing festivals such as Glastonbury, Timewarp and Burning Man along the way.

Now, Jamie Jones is considered a pioneer in his field by the majority, as he continues to shape the future Techo, Dance and Electro hybrid creations.
