
Australian Skilled Occupation List Changes July 2014
Changes To The Skilled Occupation List (SOL)
The Skilled Occupation List is relevant to anyone that wants to live in Australia on an independent points-based skilled visa without being nominated by a state, territory or government agency, on a Family Sponsored points-based skilled visa, or on a Temporary Graduate visa via the Graduate Work stream.
The following Skilled Occupation List Changes (SOL) started from 1st July, with these occupations being added:
- Chef (Australian and New Zealand Standard Classification of Occupations)
- Bricklayer
- Wall and Floor Tiler
The following skilled occupations have also had changes to their titles:
- Marine Surveyor (formerly Ship’s Surveyor)
- General Practitioner (formerly General Medical Practitioner)
The above changes to the Australian Skilled Occupation List came into effect on 1st July 2014 for any new applications made.
