Belly Bao Joins Goodgod Small Club

The new residents of Goodgod’s canteen will be Belly Bao, the Taiwanese street food experts, and you will be able to taste their Bao delights from 5pm on 7th January.

If you’ve never had the joy of trying a Bao, it’s a soft steamed bun in the shape of a taco, filled with braised pork belly, pickled mustard greens, crushed peanuts and coriander. The guys at Belly Bao are taking this tradition from the streets of Taiwan and mixing it up with ingredients including soft shell crab, pork crackling, sweet potato and Asian slaw.

If you have a sweet tooth, you can even order dessert in the way of Baoana and Strawberry Bao – fried brioche-like Baos with ice cream, condensed milk and fruit.

Belly Bao’s first permanent home will be open from Wednesday – Friday 5-10pm and on Saturday 6 – 10pm.
