Blondie To Celebrate 40th Anniversary With Brand New Studio Album ‘Ghosts of Download’

Iconic new wave band Blondie are celebrating their 40th anniversary this year, and will release a double-disc package on 16th May through Caroline Australia.

‘Blondie 4(0) Ever’ will include newly recorded versions of 11 of the band’s greatest hits, from ‘Heart of Glass’ to ‘Rapture’ and ‘The Tide Is High’, as well as a brand new 13-song studio album entitled ‘Ghosts of Download’. The record is produced by Jeff Saltzman, who also worked on the band’s previous album ‘Panic of Girls’.

If you pre-order the album on iTunes now, you will receive a free download of the song ‘I Want To Drag You Around’, which was produced by U2 and XTC producer Steve Lillywhite.
It has been confirmed that one of the songs on ‘Ghosts of Download’, entitled ‘A Rose By Any Name’ is a duet between Debbie Harry and Gossip’s Beth Ditto.
Blondie are also set to announce an upcoming world tour for later this year.
