Brand New Sounds From Ballerino

For those of you who like to go off piste when seeking out new sounds, we present to you, Berliner, Ballerino.

A founding member of South-East London-based artist collective squareglass, Robin Braum A.K.A Ballerino returns with his new B-side single ‘Love’/’Concentrate’.

A muted medley of synths and drum beats creeps from the offset until clicks and blips build before a lazy vocal floats in at around 3 minutes in.

The sumptuous sounds are liquid in texture as they bubble up from under the main chord progressions.

squareglass are a collective known for their collaborative approach, and label mate, Bunki, contributes a bonus track with a sublime edit of ‘Love’, chopping samples of the original to create an atmospheric, minimal soundscape reminiscent of The Field.

Catch Ballerino at London’s Rye Wax to celebrate the single’s launch on 18th June.
