BridgeClimb Sydney Review Often considered the top thing to do in Sydney, we chat to Debbie Maycock about her BridgeClimb Sydney experience.
Why did you personally want to take on BridgeClimb Sydney?
I wanted to complete the BridgeClimb because everyone who has been to Sydney told me it was the best thing they’d done and the one thing I had to do. Also Mark, my partner, had done it previously and wanted to do it again.
What were your feelings during the climb and when you reached the top?
I was extremely nervous in the first part of the climb, where you can see through the steps and whilst climbing the ladders up to the main arch. Our guide, Edwina, was great at keeping track of everyone and keeping everyone calm. When I got to the top I was very proud but also aware that I was only halfway through the climb!
What could you see from the top? Is the view as incredible as it looks?
The view is amazing; the day we went it was actually quite cloudy, but you could still see all the way out to the mouth of the harbour, and our guide was very knowledgeable about the different areas and all the history, which made it more meaningful and enjoyable.
What three words would you use to describe the experience?
Challenging, rewarding and breath taking.
Did anything about BridgeClimb Sydney surprise you?
I was surprised at how windy it was and yet how secure I felt!
What was the highlight for you?
The highlight was taking both hands off the railings for the pictures and video! We were offered a quick video, which was really great to be able to send home to friends and family.
