Changes on Australian Visa for Citizens of China
Changes in the Australian visa has just been announced for passport holders of China.
According to data for the year 2015, there were more than a million citizens of China who visited Australia for that year. This resulted to a $8.3 billion boost to the Australian economy.
Mr Malcolm Turnbull, the Prime Minister of Australia, said during a visit to Shanghai China, that the government of Australia is already creating ways in order for the process of application for Chinese tourists be simplified.
”For the first time, we are trialling applications, visa applications, in a language other than English in Mandarin Chinese,” the Australian Prime Minister stated. ”And there will be online visa applications from China,” he also added.
As of now, a 10 year validity tourist visa is in trial that would greatly benefit Chinese nationals, so that travelling in and out of the country can be made a whole lot easier for them. This only proves how committed Australia is in increasing and strengthening the relationship of tourism between Australia and China. The more Chinese citizens come to Australia, and the more Australians come to China, the more opportunities for economic, social, and academic growth await for these 2 countries.
Aside from that, Air China and Tourism Australia have just signed a new agreement that is worth $6 million. The agreement is aimed at data sharing as well as advertising. This development is expected to give the number of people travelling to the country a huge increase.
