Croatia Sailing Itinerary

Day 1:  Split to Makarska 

After meeting the Koda Sail crew, you’ll depart from Split Harbour heading towards vibrant Makarska by midday. Then it’s time to take the plunge and cool off in the sea with a relaxing swim in a picturesque location.

You’ll dock in the port of Makarska in the late afternoon giving you plenty of time to check out the local town. That night you’ll have the chance to taste some local dishes and experience the fun nightlife this town has on offer.

Day 2: Makarska to Mljet National Park 

In the morning you’ll depart towards Mljet Island with a stop on the Pelješac peninsula for a refreshing swim. In the afternoon you’ll visit to the salt lakes in Mljet National Park to enjoy the sun, sea and tranquility of this peaceful island.

In the middle of the large lake, inside the National park, you can visit the monastery and church on St. Mary isle. Then you will dock overnight in the port of Polača/Pomena.

Day 3: Mljet National Park to Dubrovnik 

After breakfast you’ll set sail for Dubrovnik, always the highlight of the week. Enjoy the nature along the way towards “Kings Landing” (Game of Thrones fans get excited!). Arrive in Dubrovnik in the afternoon when you can explore on your own or join a guided tour of the city.

Take a ride on the cable car up to Srđ Mountain for spectacular views of the Old Town, walk the famous city walls, or enjoy an afternoon cider at the ‘hole in the wall’ bar and watch the local cliff divers wow you with their fearless leaps into the Adriatic.

Enjoy delicious seafood in the local restaurants and get ready for a night out on the town visiting local bars and one of the best clubs in Europe.

Day 4: Dubrovnik to Korcula 

You’ll wave goodbye to Dubrovnik and depart for Korčula, the birthplace of famous explorer Marco Polo. Enjoy lunch on board in the Lumbarda bay near to Korčula. With a late afternoon arrival into the port, where there will be plenty of time to swim in the afternoon.

Once docked, you’ll get an orientation of the Old Town where you can find more legends, tales and monuments than anywhere else in the region. Listen to the story of the stone walls, which were built over two centuries ago. Meet the group for dinner and sunset cocktails in one of the numerous seafront restaurants looking out to sea.

Day 5: Korcula to Hvar 

A morning departure towards the Pakleni Islands for lunch and a refreshing swim stop, then it’s off to one of Croatia’s most popular islands, Hvar, the longest island in the Adriatic. You’ll have the afternoon to take in some of Hvar’s highlights such as the hilltop fortress with postcard views of the surrounding islands and the town’s old square.

Finish the night indulging in some of Europe’s best nightlife entertainment. Experience the famous club Carpe Diem, set on its very own island.

Day 6: Hvar to Omis via Bol

You’ll then make your way to the mainland via Brač island, to spend time swimming at the most famous beaches in Dalmatia. After lunch you’ll will start your journey to the seaside town of Omis.

Day 7: Omis to Split 

After lunch you will start your journey back to Split where the last overnight stay on the boat is planned. Once docked, join your Koda Sail Rep for a walk through this monumental city.

Meet up for a final dinner with your new friends, reflecting over what just may have been the best week of your life sailing Croatia.
