Courteeners Announce New Single And December Headline Tour

In pursuit of the hugely successful February release of third studio album ‘ANNA’, Indie-Rock connoisseurs Courteeners have just revealed they will be releasing a crisp new single ‘Are You In Love With A Notion?’ (listen below) on the 9th December 2013; simultaneously enlightening fans with the announcement of their December 2013 UK headlining tour also!

This news follows a hugely victorious 2013 for the band, and the December shows will see that this year comes to a suitably-rounded-off high for the boys, whilst also marking their total tickets sales this year at over 10,000 sold.

Earlier this year saw album ‘ANNA’ enter the midweek charts at #1 and ultimately chart at #6, resulting in the Mancunian lads having their third top 10 album – not bad for a band who’ve been on the scene for less than a decade.

Last December also brought with it a huge sell-out show of 17,000 people at Manchester’s MEN Arena, and again the boys sold out a further UK tour in March.

Summer 2013 presented the boys with headline slots at Glastonbury, T in the Park and V Festival, offering up the band’s biggest festival performances to date. Another live moment of note came in July, when the boys sold out two shows at Manchester’s Castlefield Bowl alongside support in the form of Miles Kane and The Strypes.

Their new single ‘Are You In Love With A Notion?’ is already a definite live favourite for Courteeners, and its upbeat yet melancholic approach carries on ‘ANNA”s recurring theme of love. The single will also be available to buy as a limited edition 7″ vinyl as well as available to download on iTunes, and both formats will feature a unique remix by PSA.

The boys’ upcoming UK headline tour will kick off in Preston on the 2nd December 2013, and culminate at a huge homecoming finale in Manchester on the 13th December 2013; get in quick if you want to catch the awesome Courteeners on one of their upcoming tour dates below:
