Double Take @ White Rabbit Gallery
The White Rabbit is one Sydney’s unique hidden gems; a gallery that houses contemporary chinese art all year round, occasionally re-hanging the gallery for new exhibitions like Double Take; there new offering for this spring. It opens next Friday, and to top top it all off they are celebrating their third birthday the same day! Check details below of everything they’ve got going on!
D-Day for Double Take
Circle Friday, Aug. 31, in your diary. The White Rabbit Gallery open at 10 a.m. with their fab new exhibition. And yes, there’s a party in the evening! The doors will close at 6 p.m., then reopen at 6.30 p.m. There may be a queue-and once the Gallery has reached capacity, it will be one person out, one in-but we think you’ll love the show.
Hugo’s Lounge After-Party
The opening-night party is also a birthday party – White Rabbit is officially three years old! To help us celebrate, Hugo’s Lounge has given the gallery a bunch of special-admission wristbands to present to lucky Gallery-goers. A wristband will give you entry to Hugo’s and one free drink card at the club door. Find it at at 33 Bayswater Rd, Kings Cross.

For the first meeting of the new exhibition, you’ll need to read Tiger Head, Snake Tails, in which Jonathan Fenby argues that for all its successes, China’s complexity, and internal tensions over everything from liberty to nationalism, make it highly doubtful that it will ever be leader of the world.
