Minnivale is a small town located 5 km north of the Dowerin to Wyalkatchem Road, the road junction being about halfway between those towns. It is also on the Dowerin – Wyalkatchem rail line.

In the centre of town is this old shop which now appears to be a private residence. It is in excellent condition.

The club has excellent viewing of the adjacent 10 rink bowling green and 4 tennis courts as well as the Football/Cricket Oval. The club and its facilities are available for corporate functions, workshops, meetings and events

The Dowerin Commercial Hotel is a historical landmark located on Stewart Street in Dowerin and has been a favourite watering hole for generations. The Dowerin Hotel is a relaxed gathering place with bar food, icy-cold beer and friendly staff.

The Dowerin Roady is a one-stop-shop for taking away food, coffee or a dine-in meal. From sandwiches to steaks or kebabs to cappuccinos the Dowerin Roadhouse offers a delicious range of food and drinks 7 days per week.
