Byron Bay Beach
One of the most famous surf points in the world, Byron Bay Beach is where every beginner learns to surf, and is surrounded by opportunities to further your skills, hence why it has become a renowned surfer town. Its popularity means that there is a generous helping of other activities to enjoy, including scuba diving, kayaking, skydiving and yoga, as well as an abundance of accommodation to fit all of its visitors.

Broadbeach

The two patrolled areas make it safe for swimming throughout the year, and summer is blessed with beautiful weather and live action as surf lifesavers take to the ocean for beach and surf races.

Noosa Main Beach
Perfect for beginners, Noosa Main Beach contains gentle waves from five feet, with many lessons available with local companies. As part of the popular and idyllic Sunshine Coast, it is one of the few Australian beaches to face north and is just a few feet from the shopping, accommodation and nightlife or Hastings Street.

Farnborough
Just past the town of Yeppoon, Farnborough is a beach break that ranges from six-foot and barrelling waves to beginner-friendly. On a good day, there can be roughly 150 people competing for a wave, but doesn’t get the crowds of more populated areas. As it sits just inside the Tropic of Capricorn, winters are short and warm.
