Ellie Goulding Announces A Tour Down Under for May and June 2014!
With the sale of over 15 million singles and 4 million albums worldwide already tucked under her belt, Ellie Goulding and her uniquely ethereal voice have declared – via Frontier Touring – that the talented songstress will be touring Australia and New Zealand in May and June 2014, bringing her unique fusion of Indie-Electronica Down Under for an awe-inspiring set of shows!
Having previously toured Australia earlier this year with both headlining shows and as part of the Future Music Festival line-up, Ellie is set to stun crowds with her upcoming dynamic performances in Perth, Melbourne, Adelaide, Sydney and Brisbane, before then jetting off to New Zealand for further performances in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
The star’s European tour will also kick off in January 2014, with a final show at London’s O2 Arena in March cementing the electric finale. With the tour also making stops across the UK following a string of previously sold-out shows in Britain, it’s no wonder Ellie’s high demand has seen her already tour the US with Bruno Mars, perform her hit single ‘Burn’ on the The Ellen Show and even join Katy Perry on stage at the Hollywood Bowl with a duet performance of Katy’s hit ‘Roar’.
October of this year has also seen Miss Goulding be deemed the title of Best Solo Artist by the acclaimed British magazine Q, overtaking artists like Jake Bugg and even David Bowie along the way!
The previous October saw Ellie release her second studio album Halycon, harbouring the hit single ‘Anything Could Happen’ which skimmed the ARIA singles chart at #20 before then climbing up #5 on the UK singles chart and peaking at the top spot on the US Hot Dance Club Songs Chart. Halycon also brought the talents of Calvin Harris into Ellie’s creative pool, seeing their collaboration hit ‘I Need Your Love’ reach #3 on the ARIA Charts.
This July brought with it Ellie’s most recent track ‘Burn’ (see below), igniting the eardrums of Australian and New Zealand fans as the track peaked at #6 on the ARIA chart, #4 on the iTunes chart and then went on to achieve double platinum certification. A deluxe edition of the album – Halcyon Days – has since been released and features seven fresh new tracks including collaborations with Madeon, DJ Fresh and BURNS.
Tickets for Ellie’s ground-breaking tour will go on pre-sale for Frontier Members on Wednesday 20th November at 12pm in Australia (AEDT) and 12pm in New Zealand (NZDT) and will be available until midday on Thursday 21st November.
