ERMAHGERD!
Prepare yourself for a pumped up rocking line up in the Gershwin Room this Friday, where the Epsy is bringing you Club Crain, supported by the likes of The Complimentary Headsets, Red Leader, Lurch & Chief, and Black Fox. Come down and get into ERMAHGERD!
Formed late 2008, Club Crain bring an exciting fresh rock energy and unique style to the Melbourne music scene. Their carefree attitude and goal to produce music they want to hear has gained them media attention from Sony UCTV and some high profile support slots with Fangs, Calling all Cars, Jebediah, Bluejuice and British India in October. The boys are in preparation to record their second EP after the success of their first “Black Widow”.
Following their first official release last year, The Complimentary Headsets are slotting in as one of Melbourne’s highlight acts, while championing the Bayside suburbs where they grew up. Their energetic live show has become a staple of the Melbourne scene, with their anthemic choruses and infectious summer hooks consistently pleasing crowds at venues like Revolver, The Espy, The Vineyard, The Toff and plenty of others. With a widely recognised song writing ability and a maturing sound, the band’s momentum continues to grow.
The boys are famous for throwing a good party and keeping good company, having worked with Gotye’s Wally De Backer (at Parkdale Library before he was big), sipped coffee with Taxiride members (at Parkers Café) and opened up for fellow Bayside boys British India (with a “banging” DJ set). The next few months see them throwing parties in their local suburbs, crashing houses, pubs, and life saving clubs, before returning to the studio for a new release in late 2012.
