eSQUIRE & Jesse Kuch At The Attic
While Gilligan’s is banging it out to the sounds of Ministry of Sound Electro House Sessions it was decided that The Attic needed it’s own special guests for the night. How about 2 of the hottest dj / producers going around for 1 night only?!
eSQUIRE (UK)
eSQUIRE is one of the hottest & most exciting young producers in the UK. Rapidly spreading his name to clubbers and industry heads alike, his sound of uplifting funky fuelled house is becoming the sound of dancefloors across the globe. With a successful string of releases and remixes on labels such as All Around The World, Hed Kandi, Data, 3 Beat Blue, Ministry Of Sound, Boss & Toolroom Records.
The demand for his work is rising as fast as his profile. The artist roster eSQUIRE has remixed for, covered & worked with also reads like a who’s who of A Listers including Robbie Rivera, Utah Saints, Warren Clarke, Whelan & Di Scala & Ultra Nate to name but a few. Support for eSQUIRE’s productions come in thick & fast, with DJs like Raul Rincon, The Freemasons, ATFC & Erick Morillo regularly dropping them in their sets.
eSQUIRE’s own DJ performances are ever increasing with regular appearances across Europe in 2012 with DJ sets already in places like RUssia, Austria, Poland, Spain, Australia and All over the UK.
Jesse Kuch (Open Records)
Jesse Kuch is a journalist, DJ and label manager of Cairns-based Open Records. Performing for many years under the moniker Suspekt, Jesse enters 2012 in the spirit of change. By reverting back to the name his Mumma gave him, he is preparing to celebrate five years of one of Australia’s busiest and most respected dance imprints and at the same time, return to the studio to begin work on his own original productions.
What hasn’t changed is Jesse’s passion and dedication for his craft, or his keen ear for the freshest in forward-thinking sonics drawn from the full gamut of the techno and house spectrum. Progressive in the true sense of the word, his sound easily traverse from deep, tribal house, through driving party techno and funky tech-house, always underpinned by hypnotic rhythms, swung percussive rhythms and staunch sub grooves.
Drawing from the ever-increasing Open Records roster alongside the freshest music he can dig up from both Australia and around the globe, Jesse has managed to find his way onto the billing of some of the country’s biggest events, including Rainbow Serpent Festival, Subsonic Music Festival, Tribeadelic, Strawberry Fields Festival, timeOUT Day In The Park and many more, as well as feature on Triple J’s Mix Up as a guest mix alongside international superstar Joris Voorn.
Increasingly, he is in demand internationally as well, with three tours of Japan already under his belt and more yet-to-be-announced overseas bookings in the latter part of the year. For now, his focus is much closer to home, with a big Australian-based celebration of five years of Open Records, including two compilations (a retrospective and all-Australian release) and an East Coast tours for himself and Open’s key Australian artists.
