Exclusive 15-Day Grand Heritage Tour of India

India is an incredibly vast, diverse, beautiful and culturally unique part of the world. Travel and Taste’s Grand Heritage tour is a fantastic opportunity to get to see the best of it.
The 15-day journey will take you from the Red Fort and 300-year-old Chandni Chowk market in Old Delhi to Agra, the city of the Taj Mahal, the world-renowned monument of love and its famous tombs. You’ll visit Fatehpur Sikr and Jaipur, India’s Pink City, and climb aboard an elephant and ride up to the Amber Fort complex in the style of an ancient Maharaja.
You’ll visit the surrounding forts and the City Palace before heading for the temple town of Pushkar, home to holy lakes and temples. You’ll discover the ‘Venice of the East,’ the World Heritage Site at Chittorgarh and Udaipur, the ethereal and architecturally breath-taking city on the shores of some of India’s most beautiful lakes.
After a boat ride on Lake Pichola you’ll journey towards Fort Kumbhalgarh, another World Heritade site, then towards the fabulous Jain tamales of Ranakpur and Jojawar,at the foot of the Aravali range, the oldest mountains in India. The village plays host to a colourful market full of exquisite fabrics and beautifully embroidered leather shoes: an incredible insight into authentic village life.
You’ll take strain up the scenic Kambli Ghat Pass, through some of the regions most beautiful hill and forest scenery, then drive back in a magnificent vintage Chevy. After a stop and visit at the markets of Johdpur, you’ll take an overnight train to Delhi, where you’ll discover India Gate, the Lotus Temple and the Presidential Palace, before departure the next day.
Prices start at $999 per person for twin sharing and start on the following dates: 17th August, 31st August, 14th September, 5th October, 19th October, 2nd November, 16th November, 30th November, 4th January, 18th January, 1st February, 15th February, 7th March and 21st March.
