Fake iOS7 Advert Makes A Fool Out Of Iphone Owners
We can’t quite believe our ears but unfortunately the rumours are true. Fellow iPhones owners have been dunking their precious mobile phones into water after a FAKE advert reassured them that, after downloading the new iOS 7, their phone would miraculously become waterproof! This, of course, is complete bullshit.
The advert mislead the public by stating that “In an emergency, a smart-switch will shut off the phone’s power supply and corresponding components to prevent any damage to your iPhone’s delicate circuitry” which would be pretty damn impressive…if it was true.
Whoever were the brains behind this cruel trick have done an incredible job, making it looks incredibly genuine with then standard white background and the use of Apple’s recognisable text font. Even the images featured in the advert are impressive, making the advert look very believable. However, no matter how realistic the advert may be, the logic behind it is quite clearly a load of bull and anybody with any common sense would think twice before testing it out.
After going viral on social networking sites, the advert managed to convince a whole load of iPhone users that it was in fact real. Twitter users who helped circulate the fake advertisement were soon tweeting angrily how their phone has not become waterproof after all…SHOCKER!
So we hope this is a lesson to you all, do not believe everything you read on Twitter and for God’s sake don’t be so naive!
