Festival Of Half Baked Ideas
Howler is the home of laughs this week with Festival of Half Baked Ideas taking over. It’s a week of comedy festival previews with some of our funny favourites, programmed in a festival format, with 3-4 shows per night starting this Wednesday 13th and running through Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7pm. With no show more than $10, and evening passes for $30 it’s an absolute steal!
Festival Highlights will include comedy icon Heath Franklin’s Chopper working on the first steps of a world tour, and emerging comic Demi Lardner preparing to debut her first Melbourne Comedy Festival show. We have Australia’s favourite Venezuelan, Ivan Aristeguieta, home grown acclaimed stand-ups in David Quirk and Nath Valvo plus a special adults only version of Harley Breen’s hit kids comedy show, Captain Funpants!
Proudly launched by Buxstock Comedy Management and Laughing Stock Productions, the Festival of Half Baked Ideas is a new concept in comedy; much needed tune-ups of these works in progress before the performers tour the major festivals. Who knows, you may see the first night of an eventual Barry award-winning show? Or, the last night ever of a particular joke or routine…it’s all new, after all. Be in the front row to find out!
