Flaming Lips Release New Album Next Month
The Flaming Lips release of their long-awaited brand-new studio album, Oczy Mlody, on January 13th.
Produced by the band and their long-time producer Dave Fridmann, the highly anticipated album is the follow-up to The Lips’ globally acclaimed 2013 album, The Terror. The Lips have also shot a video for the album track ‘The Castle’, giving us a wonderful snippet of what we should expect from the forthcoming record. Filmed in Oklahoma City, the seemingly simple image proves to be as emotionally affecting as the song itself.

The Flaming Lips’ and Miley Cyrus collaborations
While it has been four years since the band’s last full length, the boys have been busy writing and working on projects with a rather diverse bunch of musicians. Since The Terror, The Lips have released With A Little Help From My Fwends, a track-for-track tribute to The Beatles’ Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band featuring special guests My Morning Jacket, Miley Cyrus, Moby, Phantogram, Tegan and Sara and more.
They also collaborated with Miley on her 23-track experimental album Miley Cyrus & Her Dead Petz, with the controversial singer returning the favour by adding vocals to We A Famly, the final track from Oczy Mlody.
Oczy Mlody is out on 13th January via Warner Music.
