Fratellis Announce Third Album ‘We Need Medicine’

You are likely to be familiar with the Glasgow indie rock band The Fratellis because, let’s face it, they’re awesome! If you were thinking it was about time they released another album, you would be right! Their third album titled ‘We Need Medicine’ will be released through Cooking Vinyl Australia in October this year.

If their previous albums are anything to go by, this album is going to be a corker! Their debut album ‘Costello Music’ released in 2006 charted at number two in the UK album charts for three marvellous weeks running and won a BRIT award for Best British Breakthrough Act the year after the album’s release. ‘Here We Stand’ was their second creation that was made available to the eagerly awaiting public in 2008 which reached number five in the UK album charts and Best British Band at the Silver Clef Awards.

2013 was a hugely successful year for the lads as they performed to a sold out UK tour at the beginning of the year and rocked out in front of hundreds at T in the Park Festival this summer. They will round off their busy busy year with album release ‘We Need Medicine’ which I’m sure will set them up for a similarly busy year in 2014.

‘We Need Medicine’ is definitely something to get excited about, ‘This Old Ghost Town’ boasts a classically catchy Fratellis’ chorus, ‘Seven Nights Seven Days’, which we have included below, is another great tune backed by country guitars and an impressive sax solo introduces the track ‘Halloween Blues’.
