Going Wild at Caversham Wildlife Park
Australia is well known all over the world for its rich nature and wildlife, and when you’re in Perth all you need to do to prove that is head to Caversham Wildlife Park. Caversham houses over 200 species native to Australia and always proves popular among tourists.
The wildlife park is where you can get up close with Australian native animals like never before. Try your hand at feeding kangaroos in a wide open space—kangaroo food is provided, and from there you’re free to interact with the ‘roos. Need some memento from the experience? Feel free to take pictures—it’s highly encouraged!
Don’t miss the chance to interact with other animals as well. The exclusive Australian Homestead offers you a fun experience getting close to animals such as koalas, wombats, and even reptiles for those who seek more challenges. Guides will be happy to introduce you to your favourite animals, and, of course, don’t forget to bring your camera to snap some pictures along the way!
If you wish to know more about the wildlife, attend one of the Keeper Talks hosted in the park on weekends and holidays. There you can get all the information you need about Western Australian wildlife and its animals from Caversham’s own animal keepers. Keeper Talks also offer you a chance to interact with some of the species housed by the park.
With only $25 admission fee, you can experience all of the fun above—there is no extra charge for any activity in the park! All you need to get there is 23-minute drive from the city centre, and the infamous Australian wilderness is all yours.
Caversham Wildlife Park is located in Whiteman Park, Western Australia.
