Ingrid Michaelson Australian Tour
“Her deft vocals combined with the charm of the ukelele and some first-class stage banter made this a surprisingly enjoyable show.” – Time Out Sydney
New York native and quirky vocalist sensation Ingrid Michaelson returns to our shores for her sophomore Australian tour this September. Bringing along her uniquely endearing stage presence, self-deprecating humour, heartfelt lyrics and pristine vocals, Ingrid Michaelson is set to once again wow Australian audiences.
Regularly compared to contemporaries Feist and Regina Spektor, Ingrid has become known for her unique live shows. With impromptu tap-dancing, ukelele-playing and witty wordplay, this DIY darling makes even the biggest of venues seem intimate.
As one of America’s brightest young stars with a fast-growing Aussie fan base, Ingrid has appeared on Good Morning America, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, as well as Australia’s highest-rating breakfast program, Sunrise.
Since her last visit Ingrid has been busy releasing her new album, “Human Again”, produced by David Kahne (Regina Spektor, Paul McCartney) which reached #5 on the US Billboard charts and #1 on the US Indie charts. Her highest selling record yet sees a dramatic evolution in Ingrid’s music – darker, fierier, harder and louder.
After a sold out 2010 Australian tour, Ingrid has transformed herself into the headliner that is not to be missed on her second Australian tour this September.
