Le Gateau Chocolat At Sydney Opera House
Le Gateau Chocolat returns to Sydney Opera House for the Sydney Fringe Festival with his outrageous solo show form September 14.
Arriving with oversized suitcases jam-packed with 160 pounds of drag, Le Gateau Chocolat will unleash a delectable confection of mesmerising songs in his exquisite baritone voice.
This charming, opera-loving maestro, with a penchant for lycra, delivers beautiful renditions from the contemporary songbook. No musical stone is left unturned as he leads his audience from Bassey to Radiohead, from Nick Cave to Puccini and back again infusing the stories of these songs with his own incredible tale.
A whirlwind of endless costume changes, a healthy dose of honesty, and a collective show-stopping climax like no other; this is one emotional kaleidoscope of a journey through the life of Le Gateau Chocolat, the Nigerian-born, London boy with a law degree and a big heart.
From the London Royal Opera House and Britain’s Tate Museum, to Alternative Miss Ireland competitions and performing live with Basement Jaxx, Le Gateau Chocolat has delighted them all! – so go on, treat yourselves to a scrumptious slice of Gateau.
