CasablancasLOOKING AHEAD …JULIAN CASABLANCAS When the music press began compiling their best of lists for the Noughties, The Strokes’ debut album, Is This It, which was released in 2001, came in either at first place or somewhere in the top 10.
Having since released two more albums – Room On Fire (2003) and First Impressions of Earth (2006) – frontman Julian Casablancas decided to take on a side project.
While The Strokes work on their fourth album, Casablancas made and released Phrazes for the Young – a solo album – late last year.
The response has been good: “It’s neither a band record, nor a genre record, but a Julian Casablancas record, and that’s just dandy, because Julian Casablancas is a gem of a songwriter” – BBC.co.uk
The three Australia dates are part of a world tour.

6 May: The Tivoli, QLD
7 May: The Palace Theatre, VIC
9 May: Metro Theatre, NSW
