Size records have returned with another unique EP.

This time from the mysterious Magic Sword, Size records have returned! This project consists of an anonymous music producer and comic illustrator. The duo promises to combine the power of music and comics to tell the strangely fantastic story of Magic Sword – a weapon of infinite power left to be guarded by an enigmatic character named The Keeper.

Having released their debut album ‘Volume One’ in 2012, success was not immediate for the duo that had to wait for word to spread in true comic fan community fashion. Eventually selling out the duo even made a re-release in 2015. Now, for 2016, Magic Sword are releasing the follow up to their debut album with a series of episodic EP’s, each featuring a comic that tells another chapter of ‘The Keepers’ never ending battle. ‘Legend’ is the first of these breathtaking new releases, and it does not disappoint. The EP opens in an grand fashion with an atmospheric build-up that leads to a thumping beat, regal chords and some guitar lending a cinematic feel to the song. ‘Uprising’ features a similar tense intro, with a more up-tempo beat creeping in to provide uplifting, video game-like synths.

‘Legend’ is a one of a kind EP that dabbles in a few different influences from French touch to rock, all of which sits perfectly as a backdrop to the visuals of the comics. This EP is extremely out of the ordinary, but also works extremely well so in that sense it’s also a credit to the labels forward-thinking initiative to make it happen.
