Mushroom Present Huge Music Line-up To Perform At The Australian Open
Michael and Matt Gudinski’s brainchild Mushroom, the largest independent music and entertainment company Down Under, have partnered up with the Australian Open to bring the crème de la crème of Australia’s freshest talent to the Heineken Live Stage.
Performing in the Grand Slam Oval, the Open’s atmospheric entertainment precinct, the stage will play host to a breathtaking bill of performances daily, occurring between 6 and 7pm during the fourteen days of the event.
Curated by the iconic Mushroom Group, the line-up will be fronted by The Rubens and Clare Bowditch during the men’s and women’s finals, with support in the form of some of the country’s brightest young talent. With the likes of The Preatures, British India, Snakadaktal, Owl Eyes and World’s End Press accompanied by the amazing Daryl Braithwaite, Jon Stevens and even legendary international DJ Pete Tong, the performances are certainly set to be unmissable.
Executive Director of the Mushroom Group, Matt Gudinski, commented: “Mushroom is thrilled to be involved with the Australian Open. As Melburnians it’s exciting for us to see the best of music and sport combined – two things we love. We’re especially proud to see the inclusion of so many great emerging bands like The Rubens, World’s End Press and The Preatures on the line-up, which says something both about the event’s support for local culture and also the thriving state of new Australian music.”
