Newtown Hotel Bizarre Bazaar Folk Market – 28th September 2013

It’s safe to say, that there is always something great going on in Newtown! After the previous success of their first Bizarre Bazaar Folk Market they have come to the decision that they will be continuing the event on to take place on the last Saturday of every month! The next vintage themed market will be held on the 28th September 2013, so if you missed the first one, be sure not to jump on the bandwagon this month.

The event will take place at the Newtown Hotel, the venue will be completely revamped in order to create the perfect place for this whimsical market to take place, containing ten stalls in total each selling unique vintage and artesian goods. To really set the mood, live folk music will be played throughout the day courtesy of Huckleberry Hastings, a well-renowned folk band that will have you skipping merrily from stall to stall.

The fantastic little stalls that will feature in the event include Laurel & Hector Vintage, a 1960s/70s style e-boutique filled to the brim with vintage goodies from Japan, Osaka and Tokyo. Dear Pluto will also feature, a stall which will be a delight for second-hand enthusiasts. Marikit by Kitty Choy will also be joining us, with a selection of handmade knits and vintage yarn. The Rad Stuff Clothing Co will have the coolest vintage, street wear, designer clothing, and skate and snow clothing on offer. Can’t Skate will be selling durable and brilliantly handmade leather goods, clothing and accessories. KirtonLeTosh has marvellous ottomans on sale, after launching globally earlier this year this stall has a lot to offer! Mareck is the only record stall at the market but is no disappointment as it has the greatest selection of Rock ‘n Roll vinyls. Laura will have on sale beautifully crafted and personal greeting cards. Last but not least, Lizzy Pop and New Traditions will be returning to the market with their adored selection of vintage pieces for both men and women.

Food will also be on offer and this unique little market with $5 tacos and $6 Young Henrys. So for all of you searching for some gorgeous handmade treats or vintage clothing, make a day of it and head down to the Newtown Hotel this September!
