Paul Woolford Returns For Living Room Festival

What do you get when you cross the sounds of 90s acid, with the evolution of the deep house and techno movements?

Paul Woolford of course, the boy who grew up among the record crates of the dance music that would come to define him, and has made a career of travelling the globe playing at some of the biggest and most well-respected venues in the world. Planting his feet firmly within the genres of tech-house, minimal, and bass, the UK legend has become synonymous with remixing tracks by his peers that challenge and occasionally supersede the original.

If his name doesn’t quite ring a bell then perhaps you’ve heard of his alias’ Special Request, Bobby Peru, or Hip Therapist, each alias culminating an impressive resume, which pins him alongside the likes of Carl Craig, and Richie Hawtin. Impressed yet?

Following the astronomical success of his 2006 track ‘Erotic Discourse’ released on UK label 2020 Vision, he’s jumped from win to even bigger win, releasing remixes by artists such as Depeche Mode, Morgan Geist, and Juan Maclean, and launching a record label of his own ‘Intimacy’. His extensive and overwhelming resume aside; the one thing to remember about Paul Woolford is his ability to make dance music a spiritual and esoteric spectacle, while still holding his reputation as a kingpin within his field. Heading down under in October 2018, Woolford will have the audience’s step clapping the night away, early into the morning.
