Rainforest Boardwalk from Red Peak Station

Red Peak Station (545m above sea level) is rested amongst lush rainforest with a 175 metre boardwalk providing you with the grandest opportunity to explore the forest from ground level. The station is watched over by towering trees, lush palms, humongous ferns and a diverse array of plants and wildlife. Here you’ll witness the true grandeur of these ancient forests. There are complimentary guided boardwalk tours that are available throughout the day. Skyrail’s Rangers are on-hand to provide fun and informational tours, sharing their unrivalled knowledge of this fascinating eco-system.

Barron Falls at Mid-Station

Be sure to take the time to relax and digest the rainforest atmosphere before re-boarding the cableway and continuing your Skyrail adventure to the second stop (mid-station, Barron Falls). Ascending to Barron Falls Station you will enjoy staggering views of the majestic Barron Gorge, a deep chasm lined with dense vegetation and granite walls. The easy access walkways at Barron Falls Station lead you through the rainforest to three separate lookouts providing breath taking views of the Gorge and Falls. These Falls are at their most beautiful during the green (wet) season, December through to March. This station is home to the state-of-the-art Rainforest Interpretation Centre. The Centre, developed in conjunction with CSIRO, Australia’s premier scientific research organisation, houses a visual and interactive presentation of the rainforest environment. As well as being the departure point for Djabugay Aboriginal Guided Walking Tours.
