Perth Innovations month April 2013 These are a series of events, throughout April – including seminars, demonstrations, performances, film seasons, fashion shows and more – that celebrate the talents of innovative people from WA and showcase new and different ways of thinking in our everyday lives. .

The month will kick off with the Biopic film season on the Piazza Super Screen, and the first installment of a free night of Dr. Sketchy’s Anti Art School, where the audience is challenged to take up real live art, and there is a free presentation by image consultant Alba Gomez on how to liven up your look and put your best foot forward.

In the second week, Perth’s finest busking talent will battle it out over three nights for top prize at the inaugural Northbridge Piazza’s Busking Olympics. Perth Innovations month April 2013 There will be industry judges on hand to provide their critique; the audience will have the final say in deciding who makes it through to the Saturday Grand Final.

The third week is dance week, performers, artists and musicians converge on the Piazza for Rock the Bridge; an event celebrating Perth’s exceptional talent in music, performance and fashion.

The last week is a festival which combines digital video and animation screenings, immersive interactive installations, presentations from industry leaders and skills-based workshops, the Fest aims to engage Perth’s creative and innovative thinkers. This weekend will also see the installation of Promise, a stunning new visual and textile art piece by multimedia team Illuminart, installed at the Piazza. .

There will be hour long health and wellbeing class held on the lawn at the Piazza every day. The public are invited to take part in these free classes; the classes include Zumba, Yoga, Tai Chi, Martial Arts, Meditation, and Bokwa.
