Pop/Rock Singles Reviews August 2013
These punchy Pop and Rock tunes have been on repeat here at BBM Towers. Perfect for lazy Sundays, we’ve reviewed our new favourite songs:
Glass Towers – Halcyon
‘Halcyon’ blasts into a full band sound that guides the track to the punchy chorus. The vocals on ‘Halcyon’ are engaging and varied making for an element of unpredictability and that combined with the youthful buzz created by lyrical themes and the sheer energy evident on the track.
Kings Of Leon – Supersoaker
Kings of Leon are back with this brand new, radio-friendly Indie Rock tune ‘Supersoaker’. Your average chino-wanker is likely to lap it up and think this is the greatest music ever written. There’s a symphony of chugging guitars that have been mixed pitch-perfectly with that gravelly voice of frontman Caleb Followill lodge securely atop of the whole thing. However in reality it’s just a little wet. Get it..?
Sundara Karma – Fresh Bloom
‘Fresh Bloom’ is the new single from Sundara Karma, who, at only 17, really know how to make an impact. Complete with repetitive, steady guitar riffs that build into dreamy choruses, ‘Fresh Bloom’ exudes an overwhelmingly laid-back summer vibe. Dynamic choruses full of energy and passion mean that Sundara Karma are definitely ones to watch.
