Psyko Punkz play Bass Control at Sydney Showground - 10th DecOn 10th December Psyko Punkz will be playing Bass Control at the Sydney Showground alongside Frontliner and the The Pitcher. If you want to know more about this groundbreaking Dutch Duo, read on…

1) For those that aren’t familiar with who the Psyko Punkz are, can you tell us a little about yourselves, where it all started.

We are the Psyko Punkz, a dutch hardstyle duo from Holland. We started to produce music about 10 years ago, became friends about 8 years ago and started Psyko Punkz in 2008. From then it all went really fast. We got signed to Dirty Workz and started playing the big party’s such as: Qlimax, Defqon 1, Hardbass, Decibel, Reverze, Bassleader, Nature one, Qountdown and so on. 🙂

In 2010 we won the nr1 track of the year at the fear FM awards with our track Psyko Punkz – BassBoom and in the UK we won the Best New Talent Award at the UK HardDance AWARD show. But our biggest achievement so far is being part of the DJMAG top 100 of 2011 ! We came in on place 78th and we cant even describe how happy we are with it. For everyone who voted for us: THANKS SO MUCH !

2) You have had a number of gigs within Australia over the past few years, with a phenomenal audience to accompany including HSU (Harder Styles United) and of course Defqon.1 Australia 2010, can we expect to see more of the Psyko Punkz on Australia’s shores in 2012?

Of course we will be back in 2012. Which party we are not sure yet but we love Australia so we have to be back in 2012 !

3) Being a relatively new duo in the hardstyle scene since emerging in 2008, how does it make you feel to know that you are apart of such an ever growing and successful record label like Dirty Workz?

Yeah its real cool to be a part of Dirty Workz. When we singed to Dirty Workz in 2008 the label wasn’t that big as it is today. We are very happy that we helped the label grow. We are all pretty close with the most guys of the label and we see each other as good friends.

4) Does the support from artists like Noisecontrollers, Headhunterz, Ran-D, Coone & Deepack motivate you even more to go that extra mile in the world of hardstyle?

Of course we love the support from those guys. It really means a lot to us. We did colabs with Noisecontrollers, Headhunterz and Coone which turned all out real nice.

5) How would you best describe the Psyko Punkz style?

Its Harddance music with a catchy twist.

7) Who has been the biggest inspiration for you guys in the hardstyle world?

DonkeyRollers were back in the day a big inspiration for us to start with Hardstyle. There sounds was different then the rest back then so that changed it all up for us.

8) Any last words to your fans?

Australia we cant wait to come out and party with you guys. You really rock and we hope to see you at BASS CONTROL!!!
