The Groves EP Launch with special guests Master Gunfighters/ Ten Cent Pistols and DJ Adelle
Melbourne blues-rockers The Groves are launching their debut EP at Revolver Upstairs. The four-piece from Melbourne will bring their pounding rhythm section, wailing guitar and screaming vocals. Their self-titled release, which will be available for free on the night, is set to be 30 minutes of swampy drums and driving bass riffs, drowned in a mess of guitars and truly f***ing miserable lyrics. Master Gunfighters and Ten Cent Pistols will be in support, and Adelle will be spinning tunes in between. Master Gunfighters are the product of members from The Thod, The Polites and Mass Cult, whose country/blues rock is bittersweet and melancholy at times, rhomping and chugging like a steam train at others. Ten Cent Pistols will be supplying their psychedelic blues-influenced rock’n’roll and are awaiting the release of their second EP. Adelle is going to be playing the coolest electro-swing and funk tracks while the bands are tuning up.
