Roman Flügel Returns To Australia On Tour
Known as the chameleon of the German electronic music scene, Roman Flügel has announced his return to Australian shores for the first time in 4 years.
Active since the 1990s, Roman Flügel, is unequivocally one of the biggest names in the German electronic music scene and one of today’s most versatile artists. Having recorded under the names of Alter Ego, Acid Jesus, Primitive Painter, Warp 69, Flügel sets himself apart by being a master of many styles, from ambient/idm to house, techno, electro and left-field, this versatility is further exemplified with the release of his outstanding album ‘Happiness Is Happening’ on Dial.
His work as Eight Miles High and Ro 70 show his quieter side, while his remixes (e.g. for Daft Punk, The Human League, Primal Scream, Pet Shop Boys, Kylie Minogue) and tracks under his own name (just think of the Arcade rave of “Geht’s Noch”) are tried and tested club ammo. Being a crowd-favourite at Ibiza’s Amnesia and at Berlin’s Berghain/Panorama Bar, Flügel is still as relevant as ever and regularly welcomed onto the world’s biggest stages including Sònar, DGTL, EXIT and Decibel Festival. The producer, DJ and label co-owner will be returning to Australia for the first time in four years to perform highly anticipated sets in Brisbane, Sydney’s Subsonic Festival and Circoloco in Melbourne.
