Ryan Hemsworth Announces Australia and New Zealand 2014 Tour.
Brought to you by Future Classic and BBE, Canadian DJ and producer Ryan Hemsworth has announced he’ll be swinging by the shores of Australia and New Zealand during his February and March ‘Ryan Must Be Destroyed’ tour, hitting an impressive 13 stops along the way!
With a notable portfolio of creative output over the last two years, it’s undisputable that Ryan Hemsworth has a totally unique approach to production. After a past which saw the DJ originally try his hand at being both a singer and guitarist, Hemsworth decided to deter away from Rock and lean towards more software-orientated music, experimenting with drum loops and samples instead.
The year of 2011 saw his debut release ‘No Plans’ get featured on SPIN magazine’s Top 20 R&B albums of 2011, to which he quickly followed up with hits ‘A Way’ and ‘Kitsch Genius’, carving out a name for himself amongst both music critics and curious listeners across the country, and ultimately becoming a go-to producer for the likes of Main Attrakionz, Shady Blaze and Deniro Farrar.
Since, Hemsworth has crafted a sound that’s said to be somewhere between Chill Wave and Trap Rap, remixing artist such as Grimes, Frank Ocean and Danny Brown along the way. With his first label release, the ‘Last Words EP’, released through Wedidit Collective, Ryan Hemsworth continues to break down the boundaries between genres, going where producers have never been before and churning out unique sonic collages that leave other producers quaking in their inferior boots!
Now, with his ‘Ryan Must Be Destroyed’ tour set to create waves, fans Down Under will be treated to a variety of locations to catch the DJ at, with the tour kicking off in Brisbane on 21st February and culminating in Canberra on 9th March; snap up your ticket now to witness the maestro of mixing make the magic happen!
