It was back in 2011 when the South London DJ first embarked on a tour of Australia and now returning in January with shows in Melbourne and Sydney, SBTRKT is excited to announce that at both of these there will be a very special guests.

Yes, it will be a set of brilliant shows as SBTRK announces Movement as special guest! Bringing to the events a blend of lush, atmospheric production with live instrumentation, taking them far beyond the trappings of most electronic acts, Movement will be fantastic addition to SBTRKT’s shows.

The Sydeny trio have already shown their credentials in the industry as they have shared the stage with top acts such as Solange, Banks and Twin Shadow.

If you’re feeling a little down about not being able to make the shows in Melbourne and Sydney, not to worry. SBTRKT will be performing at Falls Festival, Field Day and Southbound, so you can be sure to find the chance to break out some killer shapes as tunes will include those form his debut release and from the ‘Wonder Where We Land’ album.

With opportunities taken to collaborate with the likes of Radiohead, M.I.A., Underworld, Mark Ronson, Goldie and Basement Jaxx, to name but a few, SBTRKT has established himself as a highly sought after DJ. With these artists he has taken on remixing and doing some track re-working with them and the Londoner’s ability to work along side big name artists is evident in the second album release, ‘Wonder Where We Land’.

The project boast feature contributions from musicians such as Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend, Caroline Polachek, Koreless and A$AP Ferg. Included in the list of features are old hands Sampha and Jessie Ware as well as new voices Raury and Denai Moore.

Expect big things from SBTRKT’s live performances as he is stepping away from the image of just a chap with a laptop. When he hits the stage, he brings along live instruments, stunning visuals and of course inviting on his guest collaborators to bring the tracks to life.

If you didn’t know, SBTRKT’s ‘Wonder Where We Land’ is out now via Young Turks / Remote Control. Available on CD, LP, iTunes and streaming services, so get your hands on a copy!
