Secret Solstice – Midnight Sun Music Festival – 20th – 22nd June 2014

Follow us on Google News

Gracing Iceland for the first time ever, newbie festival Secret Solstice is taking over the penultimate weekend in June with an army of over 100 local and international artists fronting an array of musical styles and genres.

But this is a festival with a difference; at Secret Solstice the sun doesn’t set, and you’ll be partying in the midst of a 72 hour long summers day! Surely this needs to be seen to be believed?

Due to the close location of Iceland to the Arctic Circle, the seasonal transitions create unique effects on the nation that result in long sunny days in the summer and complete darkness in the winter. This means that when you’re partying it up in June, you’ll also get to witness Iceland’s Summer Solstice first hand!

Following a theme of traditional Norse religion and mythology, the Secret Solstice will be exhibiting an impressive line-up for a festival in its first year, fronting the incredible Massive Attack as their first headliner. With Woodkid, Carl Craig, Damian Lazarus, Eats Everything, Skream, Jackmaster, Boddika, Oneman and Kerri Chandler also filling out an impressive music program, Secret Solstice looks set to make quite a splash and is sure to become a new festival favourite in years to come.

So pay a visit to ‘the world’s most unique music festival’ as you dance beneath the never-setting sun – but make sure you remember to pack your sunglasses!
