Shore Thing WILL Be Back For NYE 2012/2013
Not so Shore? Now it’s a Shore Thing! The events company Fuzzy noted on its site that recent reports of the New Year’s Eve party ‘Shore Thing’ is not going ahead this year were about as credible as reports that the world will end on 21st December. Waverley Council has confirmed that it is going ahead – well thank you higher authorities for letting us do the expected on NYE – getting pissed and partying all night long.
Sydney will definitely be holding the Shore Thing event on its Bondi Beach. Bondi is believed to be an Aboriginal word meaning the sound of breaking waves. Well there will be a whole host of sound waves as there are no guesses the music acts are going to be big names as past acts included Fatboy Slim, Groove Armada, Basement Jaxx, Armand Van, Danny Tenaglia and most recently Pendulum, Snoop Dogg and Calvin Harris!
The capacity will be 13,500, a slight reduction from the 15,000 it has been every year – everyone will be drunk and happy so a bit more intimacy as the clock strikes twelve will be welcomed. Having the beach as a dancefloor and fireworks lighting up the ocean – we can’t wait; bring on the New Year 2013!
