Sophie Ellis-Bextor returns with brand new album ‘Wanderlust’

Electro-pop princess Sophie Ellis-Bextor has ended her relatively quiet phase today by catapulting a fresh new album ‘Wanderlust’ into our sound waves!

Preceded by the poignant love ballad ‘Young Blood’ already leaked from the album, Wanderlust is the star’s fifth studio album to date. Co-written and produced by the acclaimed singer-songwriter Ed Harcourt, ‘Wanderlust’ was recorded in just a fortnight in London with only a close-knit group of musicians and friends present. Featuring eleven crisp new tracks, the album is set to stun as it showcases a fresh new sound, marking the young songstress’ transition into an accomplished modern singer-songwriter.

But ‘Wanderlust’ aside, this fresh new album is not the only news to get fans’ tongues wagging today.

In addition to her brand new material, Sophie has also announced a 10-date UK tour for April this year. Kicking off in Birmingham on the 7th and coming to a grand finale in Glasgow on the 19th, the 34-year old even had to add an extra London date on the 11th April, due to the high demand of her ticket-hungry fans!
