South Australia is one of the less traditionally travelled areas of the country; it doesn’t have the city living of Sydney or Melbourne, the tropics of north Queensland or the buzz of the Gold Coast, but it is blessed with long summers, award-winning wine and a wide stretch of coastline and parkland. As a result, it offers one of the most pleasant outdoor experiences and beckons you to head outside.

Hit The Beach

The urban shores of SA are all about the beaches. Drive onto Aldinga Beach and set up a badminton or cricket set, or explore the seaside village of Glenelg and swim with dolphins. South Australia is not just stunning from the ground – a bird’s eye view is also pretty awesome! Take to the skies and fall 10,000ft over the Murray River, wine districts and hills, complete with views of the south coast and Adelaide city. If you don’t have the guts to jump out of a plane, you can enjoy the scenery a little more peacefully in a hot air balloon. Meander The Murray River
