Splashfest ready to deliver some “H2WHOA!” in 2018

Splashfest is set to come alive again on March 11, ready to provide the best day of wet’n’wild fun under the sun.
From 2pm to 5pm, Swanbourne Reserve is the best place to beat the heat for an afternoon of free, water-filled family fun with slides, rides, games, stalls and more.
There is also a chillout marquee where people can take a break from making a splash to sit, relax and enjoy the cavalcade of entertainment on offer from various young performers.
Presented by the City of Nedlands and Nedlands Youth Advisory Council, Splashfest is a popular annual event for youth, children and families that creates a dynamic hub of music, recreation, performance and community.
“No matter whether you’re a teen, tween or just young at heart, Splashfest delivers all kinds of bouncing, bubbling fun with plenty of slippin’ and slidin’, right by the ocean,” City of Nedlands Mayor Max Hipkins said.
“There’s plenty of ways to keep cool, whether it’s on one of the slides or rides or keeping cool in the shade and watching a host of the best young performers making waves in the chillout marquee.
“What I love about Splashfest is how it brings everyone together and their sheer joy and exuberance as they enjoy the event.
“Swanbourne Reserve is right near the beach, so it’s one of the most picturesque locations in Perth, and we then turn it into the most fun water carnival you could possibly imagine.
“As Eminem and Beyoncé might say, it’s your chance to walk on water – or, at the very least, be as close to it as you as can while having fun.”
