Stacey Pullen Joins Balance

Returning with Stacey Pullen for their esteemed compilations series, Balance continues to exhibit electronic music’s most skilful producers and DJs.

Balance 028 stands as Stacey Pullen first compilation in 6 years! And he makes it clear that he still has what it takes to create pearls of music history. Having curated a multifarious selection, he has chosen cuts form the likes of Marc Ashkens, Huxley, Kevin Saunderson and Oscar P. The double-disc mix shows off his maturity as an artist with a mix that perfectly hones in on that sweet spot between the visceral and the physical.

As one of the artists who emerged from the second wave of Detroit techno in the early-to-mid 90s, Pullen remains a skilful producer who values quality. Having made a name for himself through collaborations with Chez Damier and Kevin Saunderson, he tasked himself with the job of crafting his own unique style that bridged the gap between house and techno; eventually leading him to his 2001 album Todayisthetomorrowyouwerepromisedyesterday. Since then he’s gone from strength to strength with releases on Transmit, Metroplex as well as his own Black Flag, and continually proves his position as an innovator in electronic music.
