State Of Independence Market In Hackney

This weekend the State of Independence Market in Hackney will be combining street food, fashion, music, and a rum bar with awesome festival vibes.

Featuring among some special guest DJs will Newton Dunbar (The Four Aces) and Pearl Wise. The sound system will be blasting the beats all day-long as you take some out-in-the-open shopping therapy, discover new designers, sample sizzling street food and hit the rum bar for some refreshing cocktails.

There will also be smorgasbord of workshops such as School of Life’s Fiona Buckland’s Life Coaching and Celebrate My Library with illustrator Marylou Faure, where children can collaborate  to create a book. Artists’ collective Colour Your City will be transforming the venue this July with live art performances, colourful installations and art workshops.

The festival, an explosion of the senses, will be taking place on the last weekend of every month until September, and has already featured Dimensions Soundsystem & CDR.

Also, there will be tacos. Best part? It’s free.
