Stereosonic 2014
The biggest electronic music festival in Australia returns in November with the most exciting line-up yet. Hitting up Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Melbourne and Brisbane, Stereosonic will be bringing the very best in trance, house, techno, bass and EDM across two weekends for an epic music experience.
Since its first date in 2007, Stereosonic has become the fastest growing music festival in the country. Making its debut in Melbourne, it took over the current five cities for the first time in 2009, and only became a two-day festival in 2013. Always attracting the top DJs and producers, you will find that this year’s headliners are no strangers to Stereosonic…
The particularly spectacular line-up is too long for us to name them all (we’d run out of space), but an example of what you can expect is Calvin Harris, Skrillex, Tiesto, Alesso, Diplo, Disclosure and Steve Aoki. These international acts will join Australian artists Joel Fletcher, Alison Wonderland, Timmy Trumpet, Tigerlily and NERVO, making Stereosonic the number one event for electronic fans. Together with world-renowned record labels and music brands, the insane production that DJ sets are associated with and the immaculate show grounds in the heart of the five cities, you would be crazy to miss this.
The fantastic location in each city means that the event is easily accessible and camping is not permitted, so you can rock up in the morning and sleep in the comfort of your own home once the final act has finished, before returning for the second round. Sydney’s show will take place in Sydney Olympic Park, Claremont Showground will host Perth, Adelaide Showground in Wayville will welcome ticket-holders in South Australia, Ascot Vale’s Melbourne Showground will hold Melbourne’s dates, and Brisbane’s event will be at the Brisbane Showground in Bowen Hills.
The fun kicks off in Perth and Sydney on Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th November, continues into Adelaide on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th December, and finishes in Melbourne and Brisbane on Saturday 6th and Sunday 7th. Third Release tickets are now available to buy from ticketmaster.com.au, with a maximum of four tickets per transaction. Tickets are priced depending on the city, with Sydney $229.95pp, Perth $224.95pp, Adelaide $214.95pp, Melbourne $229.95pp and Brisbane $223.95pp. A limited number of one-day tickets will be made available from October.
Ticket-holders must be 18 years of age or older. Specific set times will be announced a few weeks before the festival. Volunteer and bar staff opportunities will be offered closer to the dates of the festival, as will maps of the festival grounds. Public transport will be available to take ticket-holders to and from the festival. For more information, to check terms and conditions and stay updated, head to www.stereosonic.com.au.
